John G. Gilbert | CPA
Principal
Mr. Gilbert began his accounting career with Haskins & Sells after graduating from Villanova University in 1972. He became a partner of Gilbert & Gilbert in 1977. In 1992, his firm merged with Murray, Wilson and Hunter, thereby creating Gilbert, Wilson & Hunter LLC. Mr. Gilbert has been the managing partner of GWH since inception in 1992.
Certified in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, he is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of CPA’s His experience includes advising privately held businesses and individuals on various management, accounting, financial and tax issues. Mr. Gilbert also serves on the board of the St. Mary Medical Center Foundation in Langhorne, PA.
Stephen M. Hill | CPA, MBA
Managing Partner
Steve Hill, a Partner of GWH Wealth Advisors, LLP, is a graduate of Drexel University with a degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in Education. He also holds an MBA in Finance from Temple University.
Mr. Hill manages the daily operations of the Firm and works closely with the team of accountants. He has fifteen years’ experience working for the Internal Revenue Service and then another sixteen years working for Germantown Academy where he served as an Administrator managing the Operations and Auxiliary Programs for the school.
Mr. Hill was also the head coach for the varsity wrestling team. He lives in Montgomery County with his wife Christa and their combined seven children.
Michael T. Cice | CRPC®, MRFC®
Wealth Advisor
With more than 35 years of experience as a financial advisor, Michael works with a wide range of individual and corporate clients. He began his career in 1980 and has worked with industry-leading firms such Chubb Securities, Jefferson Pilot, and Lincoln Financial Group prior to forming GWH Wealth Advisors, LLP.
Mr. Cice focuses on investment, retirement, and estate planning to help individuals, small businesses, and non-profit organizations grow, preserve and transfer wealth. As a multi-year winner of the Five Star Wealth Manager award, Mr. Cice creates strategies tailored to his clients’ unique circumstances and objectives. Keeping the long-range always in view, he seeks to inspire confidence in all chapters of his clients’ lives: today, tomorrow, and for years to come.
Mr. Cice received his BS from Temple University and holds both the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® designation and the Master Registered Financial Consultant® designation.

Christopher Cice is a Partner and Wealth Advisor at GWH Wealth Advisors, LLP, where he provides experience in designing asset management strategies that address the complex wealth management challenges of each client. As a Certified Investment Management Analyst®, Christopher uses his training to help him leverage the vast industry resources needed to ensure that GWH provides the advice, attention and care that each client deserves.
Mr. Cice has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. A graduate of The University of Scranton, Christopher holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses.

Chad Akselrad
Client Relationship Manager
Chad Akselrad is the relationship manager and financial advisor at GWH where he is responsible for being the first point of contact for all clients. He has a philosophy of helping clients safely accumulate and distribute their wealth while protecting what matters most.
After starting a career in banking in 2006, he became an Insurance Specialist with New York Life and then to Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investment Group. Chad has been an advisor at HSBC and Wells Fargo for private bank. Although he enjoyed the positions in the corporate world, Chad observed that the traditional industry model for retirement planning fell short and was incomplete. He felt a renewed drive and ambition to focus on financial and tax planning strategies.
Chad has more than 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. A graduate of Penn State University, he holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM , Series 7, Series 66 and Life and Health Licenses.
In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with family and friends, going out to eat and bike riding. He resides in Bucks County with wife, Diane, two daughters, Julia and Natalie and their dog, Chili.
Riley Masterson
Financial Planner
Riley Masterson, a member of GWH Wealth Advisors, LLP, is a graduate of Temple Universities Fox School of Business. with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Corporate Finance. He also holds the FINRA Series 7, SIE and Bloomberg Market Certification.
Mr. Masterson works closely with the firm’s Wealth Department and clients. He takes great pride in his unwavering commitment to building strong relationships and strives to be a trusted resource they can rely on. While taking the time to understand each individual’s unique circumstances, goals and dreams, he tailors his services to their specific needs.
With years of experience in banking as well as hospitality and many trade industries, Riley understands the many challenges that his clients face.
A native of the Neshaminy School District and a resident of Newtown, Mr. Masterson enjoys boating, working on cars, and spending time outdoors with his family and community.

Nancy D. Chaney | CPA
Accountant
Nancy Chaney is a graduate of Elizabethtown College, located in Elizabethtown, PA, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in May 1978. She became a CPA in May 1981 and is certified in Pennsylvania. She serves as treasurer and board member of the Union Cemetery in Richboro, PA. Also, she’s a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPA’s and Pennsylvania Society of Tax & Accounting Professionals and a past board member of Needlework Guild of America. Her main area of expertise is servicing small businesses and individuals for their tax and accounting needs. In her spare time, she enjoys time with family, gardening, reading, cross stitching and traveling and spending time with her husband Jim.
William F. Davis | CPA
Accountant
Mr. Davis joined Gilbert, Wilson & Hunter in 2004. He has over 35 years of public accounting and income tax experience. Bill graduated from Drexel University in 1988 and became a CPA in 1998. His experience includes advising small businesses and individuals on various management, accounting, financial and tax issues.
Chandler C. Drea
Accountant
Chandler Drea graduated from West Chester University in 2021, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. She joined Gilbert, Wilson & Hunter LLC in 2022. Her primary experience includes bookkeeping services, processing sales and payroll taxes, and preparing personal tax returns. She enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with her family and friends.
Matthew C. Gilbert
Accountant
Mr. Gilbert has been working for Gilbert, Wilson & Hunter LLC over the last 8 years. He assists with day-to-day administrative duties supporting the accounting staff. His primary experience includes customer service support, individual and business tax preparation.
Mark S. Shapiro
Accountant
Mark S. Shapiro is a graduate of Drexel University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He has 35 years of experience in tax and accounting and has been working at Gilbert, Wilson & Hunter LLC for 10 years. His area of expertise is advising small businesses and individuals, as well as the preparation and review of business and individual returns.
Frank L. Thurber, Jr.
Accountant
Mr. Frank Thurber, Jr. has worked full time for Gilbert, Wilson and Hunter since January 1, 1981. He is currently an accountant with our firm. A majority of his clients are in the construction and home building industry.
Nancy E. Conner-Ward
Accountant
Nancy Conner-Ward is a graduate of Bucks County Community College. She has 35 years of experience working with small businesses and corporate accounts. She joined Gilbert, Wilson & Hunter LLC in 2020 and assists with processing monthly books, payroll taxes, personal, and corporate tax returns. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, and reading.
Robert H. McLaren, CPA
ACCOUNTANT
Bob graduated from LaSalle University in 1978 with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. He began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co., where he worked for ten years in the Philadelphia and Bermuda offices. He became a CPA in 1979 and has been licensed in Pennsylvania since then. From 1988 through 1991, he worked as the Regional Capital Projects Controller for the NorthEast Region of Waste Management of North America Inc. Subsequently, he was hired as Controller for American Travellers Life Insurance Company. In 1995, Bob formed McLaren & Co., P.C., a Bucks County CPA practice serving businesses and individuals. Beginning in 2024, Bob merged his firm with Gilbert, Wilson & Hunter.
His past experiences in leadership include serving as Treasurer and a Director of the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce (LBCCC), a member of the Advisory Board of the LBCCC Leadership Bucks County Program, Chairman of the LBCCC Government Relations Committee, President of the Bucks County Estate Planning Council, President of the Pennsbury Scholarship Foundation, and a member of the Finance and Investment Committees of Our Lady of Grace Parish in Penndel, PA.
Bob has been active in the past in local youth soccer, baseball and basketball through the Langhorne Athletic Association and the Our Lady of Grace CYO. He resides in Langhorne with his wife, Terry, and together they enjoy watching their nine grandchildren grow.
